What is my username/password?

Your login credentials are the same username and password that you use to login to your AEE member portal.

How do I update my contact information?

You will update your contact information in your AEE member portal. It will update in The Current automatically.

How do I control what information is visible on my profile?

Navigate to your profile page, select the "My Account" tab and choose "Privacy Settings." After making changes, click “Save Changes.”

Contacts / Connections

How do I find other members?

You can find members in Communities you belong to under the “Members” tab.

How do I add contacts to my contact list?

Search the community directory and click “Add as Contact,” or visit a profile and send a contact request directly.

Why should I add contacts to my contact list?

Creating this virtual address book makes it easy to send your contacts messages through the community site to stay in touch, ask questions or even build a referral network. Additionally, when you view another member’s profile, you’ll be able to see any contacts you have in common. You can also choose to let your contacts view certain demographics in your profile that others can't.

Communities / Discussions

What are communities?

Communities allow you to participate in discussions and share resources with other members.

Which communities do I already belong to?

Go to “Communities” > “My Communities” to view your communities.

How do I join/subscribe to a community?

Go to “Communities” > “All Communities,” select a community, click “Join,” and choose your email delivery preference.

How can I control the frequency and format of emails I receive?

Go to your profile > “My Account” > “Community Notifications” to manage email preferences.

How do I leave a community or unsubscribe?

Go to “My Account” > “Community Notifications” and select “Leave Community” under Actions.

How do I respond to others’ posts?

Click “Reply to Discussion” to respond to everyone, or “Reply to Sender” to respond privately.

How do I start a new discussion thread?

Go to “Participate” > “Post a Message.”

I’m having trouble viewing HTML emails. How do I fix this?

Adjust your email client settings to allow images, or switch to Plain Text format in Community Notifications.

Can I search posts across communities?

Use the main search bar and select “Show Advanced Search” to refine results.

How do I view all posts in a specific community?

Go to the community page and click the “Discussions” tab to view all threads.

Library / Resources

How do I find resources uploaded by other members?

Visit the community’s “Library” tab or use the main search box to find resources.

Can I search for specific file types?

Use Advanced Search and select “Search for Specific File Types.”

How do I upload a document?

Click “Participate” > “Share a File” or create a new Library Entry within a community.

What kind of documents can I upload?

You can upload documents, images, spreadsheets, videos, and other supported file types.

What are tags for?

Tags help categorize content and improve search results across blogs, libraries, and events.
